Welcome to the homepage of Northeastern University's BESS!
BESS, the Northeastern chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers, is dedicated to the recognition of under-represented minorities in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math fields, helping them prepare for their future careers. Although our focus is the success of under-represented minorities, we welcome all races and nationalities.

As usual, BESS had an excellent time at the Annual Convention. Even with the convention being held in Pittsburgh, we still were able to fly almost 25 strong. We were named the (medium-sized) Chapter of the Year as well as the chapter with the highest percentage of members maintaining over a 3.0 GPA. Go NEU!

AWFE October 15, 2011 was a great success. BESS members, NU Community Service participants and other volunteers reached over 300 households within the Orchard Park neighborhood area. The volunteers and materials distributed were well received by the community and we are confident that we brought awareness to the community about the opportunities available to them through the pursuit of a college education, particularly in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathmatics (STEM) fields.
Special thanks to Jason, Oliver, Kathryna and Danielle for organizing the event.
